The series revolves around a 12 year old girl named Kouyama
Mitsuki. Her parents died when she was small so she lives with
her grandmother. All her life she wanted to become a singer.
She made a promise to her childhood friend Eichi, who she fell
in love with, that she would fulfill her dreams to become a
singer. However, that wish cannot happen as long as she has
the throat cancer which she developed. One day she was
visited by two Shinigamis (God of Death) named Meroko and
Takuto. They told her she has only one year left to live
because of her throat cancer. Before she dies, she wanted to
fulfill the promise she made with Eichi. Takuto decides to
help her by turning her into a sixteen year old so she can
participate in the singing audition. As long as she was
transformed, the cancer in her throat is gone so it would not
affect her singing. With the help of Takuto and Meroko,
Mitsuki's journey to become a singer begins.
This is one of the best series I have
ever seen. The first few episodes starts slow but after that
the story just gets better and better. I just couldn’t stop
once I started watching this series. The story development is
amazing. It has a mixture of romance, comedy, and drama,
everything you want in a warm loving anime series. Either each
episode leaves you with a good feeling or it leaves you in
suspense making you want to watch more. The ending was not
disappointing at all. The endings for some anime series I have
seen were either just bad or they rushed it, but Full moon was
different. I just wish the series would never stop, but I know
all good things come to an end, or do they? Character
development was mostly centered on Mitsuki. It would have been
better if they had more character development for the other
characters but that would mean more episodes and a bigger
budget...it always comes down to money..."sigh".
The character design was very nice. It
was just nice and simple and its one of the reasons I think
that makes this design so good. Some of the characters were
drawn very cute especially Meroko and Takuto.
Music was great. I loved every ending
song that was presented at the end of each episode. The series
is just not the same without the ending songs. I wasn’t a fan
of the opening music though, but it was still good listening
to it.
The person who does Mitsuki's voice is
Myco. She is the lead singer of the Jpop group called Changin
My Life. She was the one who sings all the ending songs for
this series. I was surprised when I found this out. I have to
say she did a pretty good job doing Mitsuki's voice. She is
not a bad singer. In fact, I like her so much I have one of
her albums already :).
There are many animes out there that
disappoint me in some kind of way, either it’s the story,
music, endings, etc, but this one did not disappoint me at
all. I cannot emphasize anymore how good this anime is. So try
to watch this anime when you get a chance to. I would
recommend this to anybody who likes music and a good story in
their anime. For those who don’t like this kind of stuff, just
watch it anyways :) . For those who think this anime sucks
without watching it, then I just feel sorry for you.
