Description: With that casual thought,
Juna begins a surreal journey that will determine Earth's
future. She takes an oceanside motorcycle ride with her high
school friend Tokio, but an inexplicable accident sends her to
the hospital. She dies on the operating table ....
She reawakens as the mystical being Arjuna, guided by an
ageless boy named Chris. Through haunting visions, she gazes
upon the beauty of Earth -- and its destruction as dictated by
mankind's current wanton path. Mankind's ways are symbolized
by amorphous entities named Raaja, and Chris asks her to
purify the Raaja in her second life. Working together with the
clandestine organization SEED, Arjuna traverses the world with
her divine weapon Gandiva as Earth's guardian deity. As she
strives to change the ways of the world, she discovers changes
she must also make within herself ....
Arjuna combines Hindu mythos with ecological
themes to tell a tale of Earth's fate, as decided by today's
youth. Through unorthodox cinematography and striking computer
graphics, this work presents mankind's most pressing dilemma
with uncompromising frankness. Yet, it is also a thrilling
fantasy adventure from the acclaimed creators of
Macross Plus and Escaflowne.
