The International Otaku Expo Association or IOEA, was officially formed on March 28, 2015 as part of the Comiket Special 6 - OTAKU SUMMIT 2015 at the Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex in Japan. Its primary goal is to establish a network of international otaku events to facilate communication and the sharing of otaku culture. The organization is still growing, and has plans to include corporate and individual content creators in time. It's like an anime event United Nations encouraging discussion on topics such as issues facing otaku expo organizers, and cooperation among it's members.
